This successful agency has a team of talented, experienced creatives and producers headed up by Lee Lapthorne.
With an increasing volume of high profile corporate clients as well as their own fashion label and catwalk events. Lee wanted to move away from the day to day operation of the business to concentrate on the creative projects, whilst feeling confident that he would still have control and he and his team would be able to access information when needed.
Working with the team we set up cost effective, easy to access systems and procedures which were communicated and implemented by all the staff and signed off by Lee. We have an ongoing relationship with Doll giving support and advice.
The key was to provide an easy to use system for the time poor staff, everyone can access vital information about each project, track costs and profit and loss. They could then concentrate on the client facing creative work.
A men’s lifestyle magazine based in East London. Set up by three renown partners with an ambition to make a magazine that presented intelligent content in a beautiful way.
They had the credentials, creativity and passion to realise their ambition but needed to set up a business from scratch: have control of very tight budgets, cashflow and an overview of the commercial revenue streams of the business
We set up a basic structure for the business and organised regular management meetings to plan how the business developed and where to invest resources and funds.
A cloud based accounts system was set up, magazine budgets and a basic profit and loss forecasts implemented.
Our involvement was to set a business foundation for the magazine and support the directors in their creative ambitions for the publishing company and magazine. Ongoing support is provided as a business co-ordinator.
Based at Camberwell College of Arts, Camberwell Press was identified as a project for enterprise funding from UAL. In 2012 Hannah was appointed as business consultant to help set up a studio for the Press to operate out of. Run by recent graduates and tutors, the objective was to set up and run as self financing micro business that would follow the objectives of the Press; to encourage creative discourse whilst giving recent graduates the opportunity to learn about running a business and developing their creative skills in a work environment.
We have helped the associates of the press to set up a physical working studio and put in place working procedures to manage the business and flow of work. In addition to that, we have developed alongside them the client base and encouraged the associates to network outside the college with the creative industry and suppliers. We also mentored a member of the Press to manage and run the studio.
As a successful editorial art director, Mark set up his own consultancy and has been appointed by a number of international clients to design and art direct newspapers and magazines.
We were appointed to manage the setting up of a limited company and the business affairs for Mark so that he can concentrate on the creative work.
We ensure that the business is managed and that Mark is kept informed but can concentrate on the client facing creative work.
